Now the time is coming that everyone looks forward to - You're first summer with you're newly bought yacht in the Ionian....

Let me walk you through what that first season and first few trips might feel like.

There’s a moment that never gets old.

You step onboard, not as a guest, not as a visitor — but as the owner. Everything is where you left it. The boat is yours. The horizon is yours.

There’s usually a mix of excitement and just a tiny bit of nerves.That’s completely normal.

Lines off, a gentle push of the throttle… and just like that, you’re off.

Most new owners start the same way — and it’s exactly what I recommend.

Don’t plan a long passage.Don’t overcomplicate it.

Head somewhere close:

Meganisi for a relaxed first night
A quiet bay just south of Lefkada
Or even a short hop for lunch and back

The beauty of the Ionian is that everything is within reach.You don’t need to go far to feel like you’ve gone somewhere special.

After a few days, something shifts.

You fall into the rhythm:

Morning swim before coffee
Slow cruising with calm seas
Lunch at anchor or a small taverna
An afternoon nap (it happens more than you think)
